episode 99: related by destiny A tunnel. Amara speedily drived her motorcycle down. An overlay of her voice - "I've always wanted to become like the wind. Just to be able to fly in the sky and find new adventures, excitment...new destiny." We see a beautiful picture of Amara, nude for only a translucent blue ribbon covering her...at the hop of a grassy hill, overlooking the high school, Amara takes off her helmet and wipes her brow. "I wanted to escape my destiny. To do that, I wanted to gain speed...for if I ever stopped, everything would catch up with me."... in the lab, Tomoe is running on a treadmill. "They say that running expands your mind, so maybe I'll get lots of good ideas!" He laughs like mad, then calls Eudial on the phone. Panting, he asks for the next target. "Yes, Doctor. She is a world-class runner that has a pure heart." A picture of a dark-skinned girl appears on the screen. Tomoe begins to laugh manically (but what else is new?)...he puts a hurdle into the container. Eudial takes it in the car and drives off... meanwhile, at the high school, the girls take a tour. "This school is so big! It's amazing!" Mina comments. "Yeah, and they have a great volleyball team," says Raye. "But Serena won't be able to see it." Serena fumes! "Of COURSE I'll MAKE IT into high school!" She stands as the others walk past her. Amy smiles and says, "Of course you can! You just need to pass the entrance exams!" Serena stands, paralyzed by the news. Raye sighs, puts her hand on Amy's shoulder, and says, "I told you not to use the "X" word around her..." At the school's track, they see a beautiful dark-skinned girl running very fast. "She's awesome!" Raye says. "that's Elsa Gray, I think!" shouts Lita. "Really?" says Mina. "Elsa Gray is the school's record holder in sprints and hurdles!" Elsa comes over to them. "New students?" "We hope so," sighs Serena. Elsa laughs. The girls, along with Elsa sit on benches. "We want to go here next year," lita explains. Suddenly, Elsa starts contorting her fingers! Mina and Lita get up scared. "Oh, that's a 'spider stretch'!" The girls start laughing and sit back down..."So the season's over, but you're still training?" wonders Mina. Elsa says thoughtfully, "I'm confident in my abilities, but there was always this one girl..." *flashback* "she could run like the wind." We see Amara passing Elsa easily. "It was like she was running away from something, and I couldn't catch her..." *end of flashback* "I want to be the wind, just like her."...the girls bow and leave... meanwhile, a hidden Eudial notes to herself, "target sighted." And Amara, watching her, jumps into the trees... and Eudial, seeing that she's 'alone', jumps out of the trees, and corners Eudial! The Sailor Scouts arrive. "Venus Love Chain Encircle!" But the daimon is just too fast! And this daimon of the day, Hurdler, just wraps them up in a kind of chalk line! Now free to attack, Eudial takes her gun and extracts the pure heart from Elsa's body!...Amara calls Michelle on her communicator and lets her know the situation. She looks on sadly as the red light overtakes Elsa...overlay of Amara's voice - "Michelle and I know Elsa Gray well. I raced against her, and she was in Michelle's art class. She came before I became Sailor Uranus... *flashback* a vision, just like Raye's. "We both started having these visions!" overlay of Michelle. Amara - "She would reveal to me that she was -" Michelle (as Neptune, glowing green) - "Sailor Neptune! And you...are Sailor Uranus. A Sailor Scout." Amara wakes up from the vision, stunned... "READY, SET...GO!" Elsa, Amara, and other racers start off. "I felt sorry about beating Elsa. I didn't care, and she seemed to into it."...after the race, Amara is in biking clothes, when Elsa brings Michelle. "Wow! You're a gifted racer, and Michelle is great at painting! You must have some gene pool," Elsa says. Michelle remarks, "But you don't seem too proud of where you came from. It is your destiny, we are intertwined! It will happen, whether you reject it or accept it." Overlay of Amara - "I knew then that she had the same visions, that she was Neptune. But I didn't want this." Amara throws her bag over her shoulder, and says smuggly, "I don't want to join." (or something to that effect). All three look sad as Amara walks off...*end of flashback* *another flashback* On a docked cruise ship, Michelle, wearing a beautiful white dress, is performing. The song she plays in violin is beautiful - and haunting. Amara sits in a tuxedo, looking smug. We see tears in Michelle's eyes...Amara walks into the hallway - and sees a great but tragic painting - the sea rising up to a ruined world. Michelle comes up to her. "Do you like the painting? I know you've seen this too. We both know the truth." Amara laughs, "You're always so cheery! How could you paint this?" Michelle is more serious now. "I know this destiny, as do you." Amara retorts, "This doesn't concern me! I don't want to be involved! I have a life, as a race car driver, and that's all! I don't want to fight!" Michelle stands, enraged, and shouts, "Well, my dream was to be a violinist! But I have a more IMPORTANT mission now! Can't you see?" The two stare at each other. "Is THAT what you're running away from?"...*end of flashback* *another! flashback* After a race, Amara walks by the garage. "...help..." someone musters. She runs into the garage to see a young boy, wearing an Infinity School uniform. "What's wrong? Are you OK?" "...help...please..." Amara touches his back - and he suddenly turns into a horrible monster, glowing red - a daimon! She picks up a pipe and goes to strike - but she remembers that the monster has the small boy! Scared, she drops it...and the monster is about to strike... when a shining object appears between them! The glowing thing is a blue stick, with the sign of Uranus on top - a transformation stick! She reaches out for it... "STOP!" The stick falls. In the shadows is Michelle. "Don't touch it! Once you do, your life will never be the same! TRUST me!" And Michelle holds up a teal stick, with the sign of Neptune - and turns into Sailor Neptune! She strikes the monster with ease. "HEY! That's a boy!" Neptune replies, "You'll see. In this battle, it's all or nothing." "But you can't!" cries Amara. "You can't sacrifice the innocent!"...but in the middle of the fray, the monster goes to strike Amara. "AMARA!"... Neptune gets in front, taking the hit! Her body is bloody, covered in scratches. "NEPTUNE DEEP SUMBERGE!" The watery blast hits the monster, and it turns back into the boy. Neptune falls to the ground. "why did you DO that? I could've helped you if you didn't stop me!" shouts Amara, now holding Neptune in her arms. "But...I didn't want to be the one...to stop you from running away. You want to escape your destiny...and I can fight by myself! One of us can be free, and I'll fight on, don't worry..." Amara says, "but I've always ran away. I've been selfish!" Neptune gets tears in her eyes. "No, I can understand you...But...I was so happy...when I found out that it was you...Uranus, my long-lost partner..." she trails off. The blue transformation stick glimmers in the distance... *end of flashback* Amara stands with Michelle, holding up their sticks. "I'll get the pure heart," says Amara. "And I'll get the heart snatcher!" says Michelle..."URANUS STAR POWER!" A yellow energy surrounds Amara. She gets lipstick, opens her eyes, and poses - as Sailor Uranus! "NEPTUNE STAR POWER!" A blue sea wave encircles Michelle, and she opens her eyes and poses - as Sailor Neptune! "URANUS WORLD SHAKING!" Uranus knocks the pure heart out of Eudial's hand! Eudial promptly leaves. Neptune cuts the chalk line, freeing the Scouts!... "MARS FIRE SURROUND!" But the daimon outruns it! She keeps on running...but Uranus gets ahead of her! "You can't outrun your destiny," she laughs, and holds Hurdler in place. "NOW! NEPTUNE!" The girls cry in shock, "URANUS! You'll be killed!" No matter. "NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!" The blast hits Hurdler - and Uranus sprints out of the way, missing the blast! "MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!" The daimon is destroyed!...Neptune and Uranus walk off in the sunset. "Wait!" shouts Mars, but they just leave. "They're stuck up..." she says, and Venus finishes, "but they're a great team." The picture of Amara in the blue ribbon. Another overlay - "So I decided to fight in this battle. Will I ever stop? Not until this threat is dealt with." We see that the picture is actually a painting in Michelle's sketchbook. To a smiling Michelle - "Do you want to get a milkshake?" "Sure!" Amara laughs, "Sailor Scouts need time to relax!" The girls laugh as Amara drives off, like the wind... so Amara and Michelle are really Uranus and Neptune! But what does this mean for the girls?...
