episode 96: hello, sailor mini moon The underground lab. Dr. Tomoe dials up someone on the telephone, saying to himself, "Why do those people at Witches 5 Research take SO LONG to answer the phone?" A woman answers, "Bureau of Bad Behavior...I'll direct your call." We (as the audience) travel through the pipes, through to a door, with a sign painted on - Witches 5. Next, we see a nice looking woman, we red hair in three ponytails and rectangluar-shaped glasses, answer - "This is Eudial." "This is Dr. Tomoe calling. I read your report and I like your methods." "Oh, really?" says Eudial, "I hoped you would. Now," she says, pulling up a computer program, "I have found someone that our research says should definitely have a pure heart crystal." A picture comes up on the screen of a nice looking girl. "This woman is a world-class drummer."...in the lab, test tube racks spin as the content of one test tube, including a daimon pod, are emptied into a metal container, which contains a small drum. The container is suddenly electrified, and the new daimon's name, "SOIYA!" is heard...the box containing this infused daimon is put into Eudial's car, and she takes off... "Guys, we need to go to the kimono festival!" Serena cries out to everyone (except Raye). "We'll look so HOT in those kimonos!" Lita exclaims. The three girls go up to Amy, pleading, "PLease, we need one day off from studying..." Amy just smiles and says, "Are you kidding? The festival is my favorite!" The girls cheer...meanwhile, someone bikes at top speed..."where's Raye?" wonders Lita. "She said we couldn't study at her house today," comments Amy...suddenly, we see Raye biking like mad, and trying to brake - she's unable to, and crashes into a pole! And yet, she still runs into the cafe, not noticing her friends!... inside, the four girls watch, spying, as Raye goes to sit down with someone. "Hey, Maya!" "Hi, Raye," says the girl. (Little do they know that SHE is the pure heart target!...) The girls sneak into the cafe. "Who is she?" wonders Mina. "She's probably trying out someone to be her new best friend!" whines Serena. "How dare she try to replace ME!" Amy blushes and says, "Why don't we just go ask them?"...at the table, Maya says to Raye, "I've been so nervous lately. I know that I need to drum at the festival, but I have horrible stage fright!" But suddenly, Raye thinks that someone's watching her (of course, the girls), and looks around the waitress to see - but the girls are hiding behind her! They keep on hiding, and Raye keeps on looking, when the waitress finally spills the coffee! "Amy, Lita, Mina, Serena, IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!" Raye, pissed, still gets up, and shouts at Maya, "I'll help you!""Really, could you?" "Of course! Come over later!" Maya walks out of the store... "Who is she, Raye?" the girls wonder. Raye explains that she's a world champion drummer, who'll be performing at the festival. "If I don't get her, she might lose her career!" "HOw are you involved?" asks Serena. Raye says, "My grandpa's friend is running the festival, so I was appointed Entertainment Director!" Raye goes on to say what terrible stage fright Maya has, and that she'll help. Serena suddenly says, "Hey, maybe you can get us free tickets!" Raye syas, craftily, "There are no freebies, but there IS a way to get you in for free..." "CATCH A GOLDFISH! CATCH A GOLDFISH!" Serena calls into the crowd, wearing a pink yukata (a kind of kimono) and beating on a fish-shaped drum. The other three girls (besides Raye) are in Sailor planet color yukatas, helping kids catch goldfish from a container using paper nets. (This is a tradtition in Japan, I've heard.) Amy helps a kid get a goldfish =). Three bratty kids yell at Mina, "Hey, we want a GOLDFISH! Get OVER HERE!" Secretly, Mina taps the three nets to make them weak, and she laughs when the nets break. (How devious!)... suddenly, Amara and Michelle arrive! They look beautiful, Amara in a man's blue yukata, Michelle in a yellow one. "Let's try it," suggests Michelle - and with ease, Amara scoops up a goldfish! They walk away. "Why'd you give the fish away?" wonders Amara. "We don't have time for a pet," says Michelle, "and it'd get lonely."..."My turn!" shouts Serena, and she looks into the water - when a strange figure is reflected into the water. Serena sighs...because the figure looks like Luna-P!... Serena, bored, goes off to look for Raye, who is watching Maya practice. "She's so GOOD! Why is she worried?" "I'm not sure," says Raye, "but she gets more worried with every performance. I want to help her, to make her and the festival a success." "Hey!" shouts Serena. "Together, we can make a killer pep talk! Let's do it!" when suddenly, a white station wagon, Eudial's car, pulls up. "Testing, 1 2 3," she cries from a megaphone at the top of the car. "Maya the drummer, come to the performance area." We see Maya arrive - "It's her! One pure heart to go!" Eudial pulls out a gun of some sort, with a pinkish liquid and a black star mark - and shoots out Maya's pure heart!... "MOON COSMIC POWER!" "MARS STAR POWER!" Mars and Moon have arrived! "I'm Eudial, and you don't stand a chance against me! Come out SOIYA!" The box opens, and drumming daimon Soiya comes out! She walks over to the girls - and shoots thousands of fireworks, straight at the Scouts! When suddenly - Sailor Neptune and Sailor Uranus arrive, looking at the heart crystal! "Hey, no more party crashers! Neptune, that's my crystal!" Eudial complains. Neptune just laughs, "This isn't pure anyway! You failed!" Neptune returns the pure heart! To Uranus, she asks, "Should we help them?", pointing at the helpess soldiers. "No, they should prove that they're real Scouts." They walk away...and the fireworks stop! Soiya runs over to the girls, and plops drums over their heads, inabling them to move!...and yet, suddenly, we hear a very familiar voice - "STOP RIGHT THERE!"... the figure is small, with red eyes, and pink hair, in a pink and red sailor outfit..."I'm Sailor Mini Moon! I am the future, but I fight in the here and now! I'll fight evil, and that's you!" she poses, just like Sailor Moon! Moon and Mars gape as they realize the horror - that the new Sailor Scout is RINI! "PINK SUGAR..." Mini Moon twirls her Pink Moon Stick (a wand with a small heart) around..."HEART ATTACK!" She poses with the wand, and it glows pink... but nothing happens! "Don't think I'll spare you cause you're the runt!" laughs Soiya. Mini Moon pleads with the stick, "PLEASE! You worked in practice! PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK!" She waits for it...and suddenly, tiny pink hearts come out of the stick, hitting the daimon. "OUCH! MERCY! STOP IT! THAT HURTS!" Meanwhile, Mars gets the drum off of Moon. "Finish her off!" cries Mars..."MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!" The daimon is destroyed!... back at the festival, Serena watches Maya's drumming performance, with Rini on her shoulders. "Hey, who's the cutie?" asks Amara. "Who's a cuite?" wonders Serena. Amara laughs, "That little girl who looks just like you!" Serena and Rini cry out, "WE DO NOT LOOK ALIKE!" Serena continues, "She's...just a cousin from outta town."..."So, why ARE you here anyway?" asks Serena impatiently. Rini says smiling, "Mommy said that I'm to train with you guys to be a Sailor Scout!" "WHAT!??!?!?" Rini laughs into the night...! so the day was saved - by Sailor Mini Moon! But just HOW annoying will the pink spore be? And who else will Eudial go after?...
