episode 95: birthday blues (part two) when we last left off, Kaori has discovered (she thinks!) that Serena is Sailor Moon! She has trapped Tuxedo Mask in a glass container (literally) and has Serena's brooch! Not only that, Neptune and Uranus are just standing and watching the horror! What will happen?... In the garage, as Serena sees her love trapped, she begins to stream tears...when the four Sailor Scouts arrived! But Kaori just laughs, and she, the daimon, and Mask begin to disappear! "If you want to see him again, come to the Tokyo Tower." They vanish...and Serena beings to run off! "SERENA, wait!" cries Mercury. "You can't leave without a plan! Especailly when they're after you!" Suddenly, a flash in the background - "It's Neptune and Uranus!" shouts Mercury. Serena looks pained. "I know I shouldn't go, but there's not a moment to lose! I have to save him!" (An English version of "Ai no Senshi plays.) Serena runs off to face her fears... "AMARA!" Serena cries, seeing her and her partner in Amara's car. "Take me to Tokyo Tower, please!" "That's fine," says Amara, and they begin to drive off..."People sacrifice themselves for love, don't you agree?" asks Amara. "WHAT?" "What Amara means," says Michelle, "is that people can let themselves be in danger to protect you. That person always wants you to be safe." Amara continues, "Some stay alive because another sacrificed his life." They enter a tunnel...and Serena imagines Amara to be Uranus, and MIchelle to be Neptune! She thinks of their talks about sacrifice, and begins to make a connection...! "So, what do you think?" asks Michelle. "I, well...I think that sacrificing yourself is courageous, but others sacrificing for you is wrong! You must do everything you can to prevent this. Life is so imporatant, and we must fight to protect it!" The car pulls up to the Tower. Serena, as courageous as she had spoke of before, walks out of the car, ready to face the battle. "Should we let her go?" asks Michelle. "I mean...she'll die!" "I know, but we have to..." Amara trails off, tears in her eyes...inside, we hear Kaori's voice, "I'm your tour guide. Take that elevator up to meet your fate!" Serena goes up, warily, in the elevator... at the observation deck, Serena gets off to see Darien in his glass prison! "DARIEN! Listen, I'm the one you want! Please, I'll die, but save him!" "Ok," Kaori snaps her fingers - and the daimon extracts Serena's ultra-pure heart! But Uranus and Neptune intercept the glowing crystal! They look at it, and with a smile, Uranus exclaims, "It's not a pure heart with powers!" Gratefully, she returns it to Serena. "You...saved me...?" says a groggy Serena. "Glad you're back," says Uranus. Kaori just laughs, "It doesn't matter. Destroy Serena, or SAILOR MOON!" Neptune and Uranus look at the forlorn figure as she trembles. "YOU'RE Sailor Moon?" Serena quivers... "She's not Sailor Moon!" a voice rings out. "What...who IS that?" growls Kaori. "I'm here, the original Sailor Moon! And in the name of the Moon, I'll punish you!" the figure poses in the shadows. Serena is scared as ever... the light comes upon her - and it's Venus, dressed up as Moon! Though she DID get the hair wrong..."AHH, it's MINA!" cries Serena. "Sailor...Moon? You look different somehow," says Kaori. "Oh no, this is the perfect disgui -" "It's really her!" Jupiter and Mars cover up "Moon"'s mouth, as Mercury holds up a sign that says (in Japanese) "Real Sailor Moon"! "If you're the one, when who's THIS girl?" Kaori points to Serena. "Oh, I don't know," "moon" sighs, "I guess she's my fan or something." Mars butts in, "This girl's too stupid to be a Sailor Scout, epecially Sailor Moon!" Serena's upset...meanwhile, Neptune and Uranus say that they're going to leave - but Kaori begins to blow up their part of Tokyo Tower! Kaori disappears, ready to face Uranus and Neptune... the inner Soldiers begin to attack - and the false Moon uses Venus' "Love Beam Chain"! "Uhh, that's not a Sailor Moon attack!" thinks Serena... but in disgust, Kaori throws down the transformation brooch. Serena picks it up - "MOON COSMIC POWER!" Now, as the REAL Sailor Moon, the daimon is completely stunned. "MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!" Finally, the daimon is destroyed! Tuxedo mask comes out of his glassy prison, and Moon, sobbing, runs to his side. "Darien, Uranus and Neptune are good people! They gave me my life back!" she cries... meanwhile, outside, Kaori and the two Soldiers begin to exchange blows! "Watch out, she's a formidable opponent," Uranus cautions Neptune. Suddenly, Kaori's hair extends, trying to wrap itself around the Soldiers, knocking down Uranus! And now she has a cut on her shoulder. "I'm fine," says Uranus, weakly... "STOP RIGHT THERE!" says Sailor Moon. "This is a communications tower, broadcasting shows to the millions, which you destroyed! For television lovers everywhere - WE SHALL PUNISH YOU!" the five Scouts and Mask are here! Kaori just laughs. "You see this liquid?" she says, injecting it into the now harmless glass shoe. "It is fluid from the daimon pod, and will now give me powers like that daimon's!" Kaori shoots ice shards at all 8 warriors, trying to knock them down! "Don't be scared, it's 8 against 1!" she laughs manically, glassing everything over!... Moon notices Uranus' injury. "Uranus, there aren't any special pure hearts here, so you can go! Please, save yourselves!" Uranus turns to Neptune. "They're offering to sacrifice themselves for us. We should take this offer." To the girls, she says, "Fine, we'll go." But suddenly, a barrier prevents their leaving! "Not so fast! No one's leaving now!" shouts Kaori...with no options left, Mars and Jupiter go to attack! "MARS FIRE SURROUND!" "SUPREME THUNDER!" but - nothing! Mercury realizes that Kaori HERSELF has created an impenetrable barrier around herself! "There's only one way to get through it - the Sailor Planet Attack!" Mars cries, "But we'll die before we can develop our full power!" But Tuxedo Mask, realizing his position, challenges Kaori to a duel! "I'll give you someone to fight!" The two have excellent swordsmanship, like he and the daimon did before... now with time to prepare, the girls get ready - "MOON COSMIC POWER!" Moon glows her pink aura. "MERCURY STAR POWER!" "MARS STAR POWER!" "JUPITER STAR POWER!" "VENUS STAR POWER!" All the girls powered up, glowing, looking as strong as ever - "SAILOR PLANET ATTACK!" A huge combined force hits the evil Kaori, and a fine mist fills the air! "Is she gone?" wonders Moon... but Kaori stands, with her shield gone but herself unscathed! "You should give up now, if that's the extent of our powers!" The girls are on their knees, in total shock. When suddenly..."WORLD SHAKING!" Uranus uses her attack to deflect Kaori's glass back onto herself! And now she's trapped, just like Tuxedo Mask was earlier! With a blow of the wind, the Kaori-statue goes over the deck, so to speak...falling, falling...a final glimmer, and she's gone forever. Neptune and Uranus escape from the tower... "Why did you help them?" wonders Neptune. "Something came over me, I guess..."...meanwhile, at Raye's, Darien sits with the birthday girl. "Darien, I'm just glad everyone's alright, don't worry about a present. But I'm so sorry. I put you in danger, all for me..."...and inside the temple, all the girls are talking, loud as crazy! Raye, in bed, screams, "IT'S MIDNIGHT! YOU SHOULD ALL GO HOME! IS ANYONE LISTENING TO ME?" no one is, of course...a happy ending. the lab. A phone rings, and Tomoe picks it up. "Is that so!...so, Kaori Night is dead. I'll be entrusting this position to you - Eudial. I hope you'll succeed where Kaori Night failed. You MUST NOT fail me." In another room, the red-haired woman known as Eudial, in a silouette, puts down the phone. A glare from her glasses chills the spine... so, Serena and Tuxedo Mask were FINALLY saved! But if Serena doesn't have a pure heart crystal, then who does? And now that Kaori Night is dead, how will Eudial find pure hearts?...
