episode 119: second chance *flashback to last episode* Moon's determined eyes. The heart crystal comes out as she flies into Pharaoh 90. The final flickers of light, and Moon reappears, holding a baby in her arms, exhausted...*end of flashback* "Neptune, Uranus...take the baby, I can't hold her anymore..." They rush over and take the familiar-looking baby, but suddenly vanish! The others run over to Moon, handling her gently, try to help her survive... a bright hospital room. After her long sleep, Rini opens her eyes. "Serena, Darien, why are you all staring at me? Was I snoring?" "No, of course not," says Serena confortingly. Rini presses on, "What happened, guys? Spill! Where's Hotaru?" Serena looks concerned. "We...don't actually know right now." "Come oN! In my dream, Hotaru was Sailor Saturn, and she came and said 'thank you'! Where is she?" The others comfort her, "Don't worry. Sailor Moon risked her life to save her. I'm sure she's alright." Rini wipes her tears. "Then, I guess I won't cry anymore."...the next day, Rini's friends meet her at her house, and they all run off to school. Serena is still concerned, however, "She has so much to worry about." Luna agrees, "She's got Pluto and Hotaru on the mind, perhaps even more than we do." Serena looks at her hands, almost crying. "I had baby Hotaru in my arms...I hope she's fine. I need to find out!"...On the schoolbus, Rini sees the image of Hotaru in her mind - "Hotaru, I hope you're OK..." The bus passes by a cafe, where Amara's car is parked outside... Michelle feeds baby Hotaru some food (VERY cutely, I might add). "Destiny awaits, we'll give her up soon," Amara comments, to which Michelle adds, "I'll let the air out and then we'll go," burping Hotaru. "But I'll miss her so much..." In the car, the wind running through her hair, Amara can only think of her journey with Michelle - their first meeting, when the treasures were revealed - and smiles to herself. They arrive at a hospital, where a white-haired man in a wheelchair sits. "Dr. Tomoe. Dr. Tomoe?" The man turns his head. "Dr. Tomoe, you have a visitor. Someone you've been talking about for a long time." Smiling, Michelle puts baby Hotaru in Tomoe's arms. Tomoe sighs and says, "Hotaru!"...in the other room, the doctor explains to Amara, "Tomoe has had severe physical and mental trauma. Eventually, he will be able to lead a normal life, but he will always suffer from memory loss. He may never lose the amnesia."...Michelle and Amara begin to leave the hospital. Amara says, almost regretfully, "But there's one more thing we need to do before we leave."... Rini and her friends bike through the park when her hat blows off AGAIN! "I'll catch up," she calls, running up a steep hill to retrieve the hat. But suddenly, a striking purple light appears in front of her! A familiar figure stands, ghostlike..."PLUTO?" "I am not really Sailor Pluto, just the one of your memories. I have come to see you." "Hotaru's gone, and I'm all alone!" cries Rini, very upset. Pluto explains, "There were two bad personalities inside Hotaru. One was the heart snatcher's Mistress 9, and the other was Sailor Saturn, the Dark Scout. With Sailor Moon's help, she's been freed, and has come back to start a new life as a baby." Pluto begins to fade away. Rini cries for her, but she is gone...now encouraged, Rini runs down the hill to find her hat, when she sees the white-haired man in the chair, holding his baby gently. Rini wonders, "Is that...Hotaru?"... "It must be!" she thinks to herself happily. The man calls out to her, "Is that your hat?" he hands it to her, and she smiles. Realizing that the man is in fact Dr. Tomoe, she asks, "What's your baby's name?" "Hotaru," he replies, "but 'sweet pea' is just fine." Rini is stricken with happiness as she realizes. "Oh, she must like you!" Tomoe says happily, watching his daughter reach out to Rini. A nurse calls, "Dr. Tomoe, it's time for her bottle!" "Well, I have to go, nice meeting you!" Tomoe calls back. The wheelchair moves up the walkway and is gone. Rini cries out happily, "Hotaru, you're the best friend I've ever known! I'll see you again!"... meanwhile, at the crater once known as Mugen School, Amy investigates with her computer. "Nothing, the alternate dimension has been sealed!" Mina looks upset as Raye and Lita run up to them. "Any clues?" "No!" shouts Mina, "no sign of Hotaru, or Amara and Michelle, anywhere!" Serena skulks aside. Raye tries, "You did your best Serena, don't worry!" High on a ledge, Artemis sees Amara's car. "Luna, come up here!"...suddenly, we hear the beautiful violin music of Michelle. "I know that 'composter's' music!" shouts Serena! They find Michelle playing on top of a pile of rocks, Amara tossing a rock in her hand. Suddenly, she tosses it at Serena' feet, "SAILOR MEATBALL!" Serena stops, startled. "Is Hotaru alright?" she wonders. Amara snaps, "Where she is is none of your concern. The fact is, you saved her, even though the world could have been destroyed!" "You forgot about the rest of the world," shouts Michelle, "and for that we won't forgive you!" Amara says, "We don't believe that you are our future Queen!" Serena tears up at this. "Guys...what are you saying..." Lita jumps in, "Serena, are you going to take their trash talk?" "Trash is another man's treasure, right? I'm taking it in. I do whine, and complain, but I did the RIGHT THING!" Amara and Michelle continue to taunt Serena. "Are you challenging us?" Lita shouts... "If you want it that way...NEPTUNE STAR POWER!" "URANUS STAR POWER!" The two transform and look sharply at Serena. "If you don't beat us, then you'll no longer be our future Queen!" "MERCURY STAR POWER!" "MARS STAR POWER!" "JUPTIER STAR POWER!" "VENUS STAR POWER!" Engraged, the girls all transform, and face Uranus and Neptune..."I don't want anyone to fight!" shouts Serena, angered and saddened. "Aren't you mad at them?" shouts Jupiter. "No. I did the right thing...Hotaru was the essence of sweetness. I had to save her. Uranus, Neptune, please!" But the two soldiers only stand, taunting. Serena realizes her fate - "MOON COSMIC POWER!"... "I'll take it first. NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!" The blast knocks down Moon, and the others jump in...but Mask interferes! "Sometimes you need to fight in order to grow. Let her battle her own fears." Neptune and Uranus taunt Moon as she stands up...but now she seems angry. "You better change your minds on Hotaru." But nothing. "URANUS WORLD SHAKING!" But Moon blocks the attack! "Where is she?" "BEHIND YOU!" cries Neptune. Seeing Moon, Uranus suddenly starts in a fire of a kicking attack! Moon dodges madly as Uranus presses on, unable to guard herself! Neptune grabs her from behind. "You give up yet?" Uranus charges at Moon, ready to attack...Moon thinks to herself, "I am the Princess of the Moon Kingdom..." and suddenly, a flash of light comes directly from Moon! She escapes Neptune's grip and escapes, and Uranus crashes into her partner, Moon standing on the side... Uranus and Neptune bow. "We give you our pledge of allegiance, our future Queen Serenity," Uranus says breathlessly. Neptune says happily, "We've completed our mission!" "Yes," Uranus agrees. "We've found the true Sovereign at last." "True...Sovereign?" wonders Moon. "Who's that?" "Someone kind and true," starts Neptune. Uranus finishes, "someone who sees the kindness in people where most can not. Goodbye, Princess." The two depart, but Moon cries, "Will we ever see Hotaru again?" Uranus turns back and smiles. "You'll see her." They turn back away... as Rini runs into Darien's arms, Amara and Michelle drive off, across the bridge, in the sunset, letting their journey continue forever more... but their mission is finally over. Uranus and Neptune have found the true Sovereign, and the world was saved - including the Scout of Destruction. The battle seems to be at an end...but is it?...
