episode 115: the science of love At the temple, all the girls wait for Serena..."Guess what!" she runs up to them, "The highest scorer on the latest national exams - AMY, of course!" Amy blushes as she is congradulated. "I'm not the only one, actually, there's another one named Juli Bidou. So I'm not perfect." Amy goes on to explain that Juli goes to Mugen High. "Suspicious...Amy, you can sneak us in then!" Mina exclaims. Amy blushes again and holds up a ticket. "Actually...I was given a pass to Mugen because I'm taking the next round exams there!"...a gray, windy, snowy day, as the girls stand in line at Mugen. Serena looks at the studying mob, whose faces are gray and intense. "They're so focused on studying!" "Not like SOME people, Serena," Raye taunts, and the others laugh at the oncoming war of words... meanwhile, in an upstairs office, Tomoe and Kaori watch the scene with pleasure. Tomoe points out Serena, saying "She doesn't look so smart." "Well, there are some exceptions," Kaori points out, "but they should have great pure hearts." Kaori holds onto Tomoe's arm...when a woman with light blue, almost white hair and a blue outfit walks in. "How is the plan going, Biruet?" "Perfectly. They're pure hearts will soon be ours," she replies, almost smirking. She looks at Kaori smugly and smirks, "If you have time to flirt you can search for pure hearts!" Kaori gets a very angry look on her face... in little red boots, Rini runs through downtown, passing Darien in his car. "Need a ride?" "No!" Darien spots Trista in his rear view mirror...Rini has reached her destination, Hotaru's house. In the snow she stares up sadly... back at Mugen, Raye and Serena continue to scream at each other when a light haired girl comes up to Amy. "Are you Amy Mizuno? I've wanted to meet you! I'm Juli Bidou." "Pleased to meet you!" Amy smiles. Juli wonders, "Is this your friend? She must be cool. What's your best subjects?" she enquires. Serena says with a pout, "Some people say that it's sleeping, but I say that it's eating." The others get a dispared look on their faces. Juli suddenly sighs in delight, "Amy, come with me, I want to show you something!" She pulls Amy away...meanwhile, inside Mugen, Michelle notes to Amara, "The sea is rustling. I sense something disturbing, but it won't go away." Amara looks up to the dark ceiling. "I feel some kind of negative energy that shouldn't exist in a school of this good world. We should investigate the lower rooms during the exams."... In an underground lab, Juli has taken the apprehensive Amy inside. We see a mist covering a dome like structure. "This is a Tau Nebula." "Tau Nebula?" "Yes, we made it in our science class. It's almost like a telescope when you look into it, you can see another galaxy," Juli explains. She goes on, "Mugen is a great school! Students like me get to teach the class." Amy is upset, "Students teaching?" "Yes, top students with the professor's supervision." "Just because you get good grades doesn't make you a leader! A leader understands people and her work." Juli only laughs, "YOU would say something so sentimental, and especially about science? Top student Amy Mizuno? The exams are going to start!" Juli runs off, leaving Amy distraught...Tomoe watches this on the security cameras. Pointing out Amy, he wonders, "Haven't we seen her before?" Juli suddenly rushes in. "She might be a Sailor Scout! I'm in charge of the Science Club, I'll get rid of Amy the Brain!" And suddenly, Juli turns into Biruet! "It's out of your league!" cries Kaori, but Biruet just shovers her aside. "If Amy interferes, she will be dealt with. I will use my nano-cup." She hits a panel on her nano-cup, which is an armband of sorts, and in another underground room, with a huge computer, the lights begin to shine... an exam room. All the determined students sit at their computers, typing away. "Nothing suspicious here," notes Mina, and she and Serena close the door...when suddenly, the computers begin to glow - and the test takers' pure hearts all come out and are sucked into the computers! Mina opens the door in shock. "It's the heart snatchers' home base!" Serena shouts, "We need to get the others!"...down below Mugen, Amara and Michelle have ran, reaching the elusive Science Club room. They open the door to find themselves in a chilling mist. On a chair sits a strange figure, a clear flame exuding from around her... "THE SOVEREIGN OF SILENCE!" The two run, trying to kill off this horrible enemy - when Amy stops them! "When will you see that Hotaru is just an innocent girl being taken advantage of?" "You're too sympathetic," starts Amara, "you'll lead to our destruction!" But Amy only runs in between the girls and the Sovereign. "I won't let you have her!" Suddenly, Juli appears in the hallway - and turns into Biruet! Now enraged, Amara and Michelle start again at the Sovereign, but Biruet only extends her wrist! "MOSAIC ENERGY BLASTER!" Nano-robots come from the nano-cup, and begin to paralyze Amara and Michelle! Biruet tries the attack on Amy, who dodges... the nano-robots pop a few of the balloons on the Sovereign's chair. Hotaru stirrs, and Amy knows what she must do - "MERCURY STAR POWER!" Mercury appears in front of the witch. "Protected by planet Mercury, I am Sailor Mercury!" "MOSAIC ENERGY BLASTER!" "SHINE AQUA ILLUSION!" The two attacks converge, and Mercury's ice freezes the nano-robots. "A waste of time," Biruet notes. Hitting the panel, the nano-robots suddenly come out of the ice and attack Mercury! Biruet laughs, "They will dissolve you until only your pure heart is left! Give your heart to the Sovereign of Silence!" Merrcury cries, "It's wrong...using science without intentions of love and peace!"...but suddenly, who would come in but the rest of the Sailor Team! "Don't move an inch," Biruet says, "or else you can watch your friend suffer." And Biruet starts again with her attack. All the girls can do is dodge... Amara and Michelle, despite their pain, rise to the call. "URANUS PLANET POWER!" "NEPTUNE PLANET POWER!" "WORLD SHAKING!" "DEEP SUBMERGE!" the attacks hit Biruet with such a force that she is damaged! "MOON CRISIS POWER! RAINBOW MOON HEART ACHE!" The blast hits the nano-cup, and it too, is damaged. "MOSAIC BLASTER!" But instead of attacking the girls, it hits Biruet herself! "Not ME, the TARGET!" But it is too late...Biruet is completely dissolved. In the other room, the pure hearts come out of the computers, and are returned to their owners...Kaori and Tomoe watch the scene. "It's over," ntoes Tomoe. Kaori only smiles. Tomoe breathes deep and smiles - "Sailor Soldiers, this is the last time you get in my way!"... Mercury stands, holding Biruet's nano-cup. "You only belived in science without feeling...it' too bad you didn't learn otherwise," Mercury comments sadly as the armband, too, disintigrates. Suddenly, a horrible shaking, and the Sovereign's chair begins to rise to the sky! A red vortex opens behind her and the room begins to fall apart. "You have not seen the last of me!" she cackles, and disappears...meanwhile, Trista and Darien have caught up with Rini at Hotaru's house. Trista holds Rini in her arms... outside, Amara and michelle confront the girls. "If you didn't interfere, we would have destroyed the Sovereign of Silence!" Amara scolds Amy. "However...you saved our lives. You did the right thing." Michelle adds, "We just wanted to say thank you!" All the girls smile, esepcially Amy, and look up hopefully at the clearing sky... but another witch was destroyed, and the Sovereign will soon begin her final advance! Is this the end of the Sailor Soldiers...?
