episode 114: fiendish ferns Super Sailor Moon, weakened from the battle with Mimete, turns back into regular Sailor Moon. In the corner, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto note how the lack of teamwork is the Bureau fo Bad Behavior's fatal flaw. "Agreed. Now, let's go take care of the Sovereign," Uranus says. The three walk out to Moon's cry of "Neptune! Pluto!...URANUS!"...outside, they actually wait for the others to have their say. "Hotaru is a good girl! She really is!" Mini Moon pleads. "So please," they finish off, "don't kill her." Moon suggests, "Why don't you work with us? Nothing is as simple as black and white!" But Uranus only scoffs, "Neptune and Pluto are on my team. Don't get involved!" They walk away...even Pluto. Mini Moon cries out, "PLEASE, Pluto, don't let this make us enemies!"... at the room of the Sovereign of Silence, the Sovereign, holding her head, looks up at Tomoe. "I need heart energy...in order to retain my former glory..." she grimaces at the pain, and suddenly cries out, "RINI!" "Is something wrong?" wonders Tomoe. "We'll get you heart crystals very soon."...at Witches '3', the phone rings at Telulu's desk. "This is Tomoe. I read over your report on Venus fly-traps, and I think it's brilliant. Do you have any ready?" Telulu laughs, "I have a few, actually!" NOte that she has red flower buds all over her desk. We see a dark room. It suddenly lights up - millions of these buds!...meanwhile, Kaori Night, smiling, walks into the lab. "Dr. Tomoe, I thought you may want a snack." He thanks her and hits his shoulder. "Just a crick in my back," he blurts out. "Let me massage it for you!" Kaori happily massages the Doctor's back and shoulder, talking with him. But he suddenly says, "Kaori, you can't live on as a secretary. You need to be back as your old self!" She's shocked. "I would do anything for you...you gave me back my life! My life...I can't..." "We want you back." "But I'm not --" "You're not ready? I'll take CARE of it." Kaori is stricken by this exchange, and her eyes become hazed over. "Yes Doctor." A brilliant light, and Kaori once again becomes Kaori Night, in her black outfit, with a look of anguish on her face and pain in her eyes... At a flower shop (Hana-shop), Telulu, looking like a salesgirl, holds up one of her buds in a pot. "This is a 'happy bloom'! Never needs water or sunlight! Lasts long! And today's special price - one thin dime! HEY! There's enough for EVERYBODY!" Trista passes the meleeing crowd. "I've never heard of such a flower."...meanwhile, Rini runs downtown, Serena chasing her. She stops, stoops down, and pants, "I'm not chasing her anymore! I didn't expect a marathon, you know." Artemis starts, "But we're worried about her." Luna says, "We think she's upset. We think she's going after Hotaru!" "Yeah, but why does she have to be so BRATTY?" Luna laughs at Serena, "Like future mother, like future daughter!" "What's THAT supposed to mean!" Artemis *sweat drop* sighs as the two argures, but then realizes..."I've pinpointed our location! We're downtown...in a beeline with the Mugen School!" Luna and Serena are flabbergasted. "The MUGEN SCHOOL?"...Rini is about to run in to the mysterious school - but Serena just picks her up by the hair and sits her down at a bench. "Listen. The Sailor Scouts are behind you! Hotaru's our friend, and we'll help you find her." Rini looks up, grateful... in the Sovereign's room, Hotaru, in the Sovereign's outfit, wakes up dazed. "What am I doing here? I need to see my friend Rini." She walks out of the room, puzzled... meanwhile, Trista, in a kind of workshop, studies the strange 'happy bloom'. "This flower requires neither sunlight or water ever. Impossible!" But suddenly, the bloom's power awakens! A horrible red light appears from it, about to overtake Trista...when a cool purple light blocks it away. "Garnet Rod..." Trista whispers, looking at her floating staff. "You protected me..."...downtown, Hotaru walks around (in normal clothes), and passes the Hana-shop. "Would you like a 'happy bloom'? It brings happiness!" says Telulu cheerfully. Hotaru buys it up, hopeful to give it to Rini!...she runs over to Rini's, where Rini slams the door on the nosey Serena. "I bought this for you, a 'happy bloom' for happiness!" "Well, you're here, so it worked!" Rini smiles. Hotaru leans against a post. "Well, I'm not so sure...lately, I've felt as if another person lives inside of me, someone mean...I WANT YOU'RE PURE HEART," growls the Sovereign of Silence. Hotaru's eyes have grown red. "Hotaru?" wonders Rini. "You're pure heart...I need it..." She begins to wrap her arms around Rini's neck! "HOTARU!" Serena screams. The true Hotaru looks up. "Did I say anything...!!" She covers her mouth in horror. "You need to help me, I'm so sorry!"... when all of a sudden, who would appear above them but Kaori Night! Rini stands to protect her, but Kaori just blasts them, knocking over her and Rini! She grabs Hotaru, who can only scream, "RINI! HELP ME!"! But they are gone...Rini cries to herself, "She asked for my HELP! And I COULDN'T SAVE HER!" Serena wonders, "That was Kaori Night, right? But she was history!" Artemis suggests, "People like her seem to have a way of creeping back." Trista approaches them, but looks shocked at what Rini is holding...she runs over to her and smacks the plant out of Rini's hands! "YOU'RE SO MEAN! I got that from HOTARU!" Rini cries. "So that means she's after you're pure heart! Look." They all look to see the plant darken the area around it, then die itself. "Hotaru isn't connected to any of this!" Rini pleads. They all decide to go to the Hana-shop, to solve this matter... at the shop, Telulu decides to get the pure hearts. Hitting a button, all the doors slam shut, being covered by metal reinforcements. "You're stupid! let us go!" a man pleads, but Telulu just pours a mist over the room. All the flowers go into bloom - a red electric blast! All the pure hearts are extracted in a flash, and the people fall over! The 20 or so pure hearts are sucked into a black star bracelet, worn by Telulu...in the back room, Trista, Serena, and Rini see the chaos - "MOON COSMIC POWER!" "Pluto Star Power!" "MOON PRISM POWER!" Moon, of course, is the only one to give a speech. Telulu laughs, "I'll take your pure hearts too!" Mini Moon pleads to her rod, "Please, protect me! PINK SUGAR HEART ATTACK!" But nothing. Telulu laughs... when the attack actually begins to work! Telulu shoots out vines from her wrist, but the attack deflects them! Desperate, she shoots them from her other arm, aiming at Mini Moon! "MINI MOON, NO!" Pluto jumps out in front of her and takes the attack! She's knocked out, Mini Moon begging for her life! Thankfully, Mask arrives just in time, breaking the vines. "MOON CRISIS POWER! RAINBOW MOON HEART ACHE!" Moon's deadly attack destroys all the 'happy blooms'! But Telulu isn't done yet... very desperate now, she injects a potion into the last remaining flower - and it turns into a giant Venus fly-trap! "This plant reacts only to pure hearts! And since the only other pure hearts are in my black star, it'll react to yours!" Mask, thinking fast, throws a rose at the star, breaking it - and releasing all the pure hearts! Telulu, now surrounded by them, is sucked into the flower! She tries a last-ditch effort to destroy her creation, but it just explodes...along with her... with Telulu now dead, they survey the scene. Sailor Moon picks up a small notebook. "Her name is Telulu...this is from MUGEN SCHOOL!"... so the strange witch Telulu was destroyed! But who will come next? And what is the secret of Mugen?...
