episode 112: goodness eclipsed The sky is red. Raye, running from an unknown darkness, sees statues of the Scouts breaking apart. Her shadow spinds around her as she looks up to three glimmering white lights. "Who ARE you?" she yells as they fade away. A silouette, with a contemptous look, holds a strange holearm, a pole with a blade at the end. She looks upon Raye as the world begins to dissapate. "No, don't take them!" she cries, but no matter. The figure's eyes glow purple, and she mounts her polearm, thrusts it into Raye's chest...the blood splatters across the realm... "So this is M and X." "oh." "You get it?" "uhh...no." Raye wakes up from her vision as Amy and Serena go over math problems. "I've been having such a strange vision lately," Raye thinks to herself, tears forming in her eyes...when Rini shows up. "I need to ask a favor of you, dearest mother!" "DEAREST mother?" Serena quipps. Rini holds up an ad. "An eclipse show at the planetarium?" "Yeah!" "And you want to be there opening day, right?" asks Amy. "Yup! And maybe we could even bring Hotaru!!" Mina gets stars in her eyes - "Ooh, it's hosted by that hunk, Thomas Harris!" It'll be educational, Amy suggests, and Lita says it'll be a good idea too. "Ok, why not? We'll go," Serena agrees, to Rini's delight of course...the topic turns darker now. "I wonder why the heart snatchers are keeping an eye on Hotaru," Mina comments. Amy speculates, "Maybe she has a pure heart, and she's an easy target because she's so weak." Lita adds, "Maybe they're protecting her..." And the vision is unbroken in Raye's mind. She thinks about the figure in her dream. "She looks so familiar..." "Oh, SERENA!" Rini coos. "I'm so glad you'll take me to the planetarium...but can you buy me the tickets?" "WHAT?!?" Mina suddenly stands, teary-eyed. "It's nice how maternal you're being to Rini, Serena. Oh, I wish I could be a mother some day! I'd do anything for my kids." And Rini begins to cuddle with Serena! "STOP IT, STOP IT!" All the girls begin to argue over the best mother among them, but Raye still can't shake her vision... That night, Amara, Michelle, and Trista meet. "I've been having a vision of the end of the world. Raye's been having it too," Michelle notes. "I see a figure, holding a polearm of some sort. The Sovereign of Silence." "The dark Silence..." Amara says, "who could be the Sovereign? Who could?" Trista's voice grows cold. "Hotaru Tomoe." Amara jumps at this. "You may be right. She may be the sovereign of Silence, the one who is the soldier from the planet Saturn. That must be the Silence Scythe. I know now! She must be the Sovereign, Sailor Saturn!" "And the eclpise is the perfect time for them to strike," Michelle notes. They agree - they must kill off the future sovereign... The Sovereign of Silence, on her throne, holds a teddy bear in her arms. "In order to revive...I need to have the energy of a pure heart!" The Sovereign holds the bear high in the air, and begins to rip it in half by the legs. She tosses the ruined bear to Dr. Tomoe, who bows in command..."'Welcome to 50 Countdown! I'm Thomas Harris!'" "Ahh, I can't wait to meet you in the flesh," Mimete sighs to herself at the handsome man on TV. The phone rings as Harris says, "Here's the song, 'Let's Get It On!'! YEAH!" "Hello! Oh, Doctor!" Mimete smiles to him. Dr. Tomoe asks about a new target. "Yes, I've found the PERFECT target, at the planetarium" she says, looking at the screen. "This will be perfect, just as Saturn will eclipse the other planets!" Manical laughter as he hangs up. Mimete sighs at the image on the screen, then gets a fierce look in her eyes...Tomoe smiles and turns toward a strange container, filled with tiny stars, a mist coming out of it. "Well, I hope they know 'Twinkle Twinkle'," Tomoe says sarcastically to the mini-galaxy. Extreme wild laughter fills the room as Tomoe cackles away... Hotaru walks home from school, sullen as always. "Hey..." a girl calls. Hotaru turns around hopefully - "..you wanna do homework?" the girl yells at another girl, passing Hotaru by. Now more upset, her head faces the ground, when Rini approaches her. "I read your note. You wanted to meet me?" Hotaru wonders. "Yeah! There's a show at the planetarium, wanna go?" "Sure." "Well, let's hurry or we'll miss it!" "You mean NOW?" Hotaru is shocked. "I would need permission from my dad and -" "Come on, hotaru!" The five girls show up, smiling. "We'll apologize for you," Serena says comfortingly. With the girls' words in mind, Hotaru smiles. "Sure, let's go!" "This is Andromeda," Thomas Harris explains as everyone watches the stars in the planetarium. The girls, Rini, and Hotaru, watch the "sky" happily as his narration goes on. Mimete, up in front, is glassy-eyed as she watches Thomas' performace. She smiles and pats her briefcase...and in the lobby, watching, are Amara, Trista, and Michelle. "Mimete's here, like we thought," Michelle says. "Then the target is probably the narrator," Amara adds. Trista looks down at the girls. "We're lucky that they brought Hotaru Tomoe here for us." "It'll be easier to get rid of her now," Amara agrees...meanwhile, Mimete smiles an evil smile. "Your heart will be mine now!"...Serena feels that someone is watching her. Turning around, she sees the fierce eyes of Trista, beckoning them all to see her in the lobby... The five of them meet with Trista. "Why are you here? Are you watching Hotaru?" the girls question. Trista looks very serious. "I don't think it's fair to go on without you knowing the truth. Uranus...Neptune's, and my mission is to save the world from the Silence, from the heart snatchers. "Heart snatchers!" the girls exclaim simultaniously. Amy shouts, "What do you mean, 'Silence'?" "The end of our world," Trista replies calmly, and then turns to Raye. "You've had visions too, right?" The girls are shocked when Raye replies, "I didn't want to tell anyone, I didn't want to scare anybody..." Trista holds up her Staff. "Everyone, concentrate your minds on my Staff. Don't let the fear overwhelm you." The Garnet Orb glows red and the girls are lost in a nightmare... the sky is red. "Oh, no..." Serena whispers to herself. Bodies fly into the air. "This can't be..." Amy says. Statues fade away. "It's so cold here," Lita notes sadly. The sky turns black. "It's gotten so dark all of a sudden," Mina remarks. Trista says sadly, "This will all come true if we don't stop it." The dark figure from Raye's vision appears in front of them, holding the Silence Scythe firmly. "Who's that?" Serena wonders. "This is the Sovereign of Silence, the one who will lead us all to destruction when Saturn eclipses the planets." The figure raises her staff, cuts through Raye's body... The vision ends as screams are heard through the planetarium. "Who is the Sovereign?" they ask in a haste. "You will find out when you need to." Trista nods, and the girls rush off to transform..."UCHOTEN!" the new daimon screams. Shooting out black stars from her hat, the audience retracts in fear! "You get Thomas, I'll take care of the audience," mimete says. But turning to Harris, she says sweetly, "But can I have your autograph first?" In fear, Harris throws a chair at the Witch. "Well, FINE! CHARM BUSTER!" The attack paralyzes the audience! The girls duck under the seats, as do Rini and HOtaru...but Hotaru begins to go through another seizure. "Hotaru! I'll help you! *i'll turn into Sailor Mini Moon*" she whispers, but Uranus stops her. "Why can't I save Hotaru?" she yells. Uranus says in a low voice, "Just watch." "I'll take your heart," Uchoten whines, grabbing Thomas Harris, about to take his pure heart..."STOP IT RIGHT THERE!" With a remarkably silly speech, the 5 Sailor Soldiers have arrived! Neptune and Pluto laugh at Mimete in the corner of the room. "Uchoten, forget about him and take care of the Sailors!" Mimete commands. The daimon just shoots random stars all over the place, and the Soldiers are forced to duck down...when suddenly, a rose pierces Uchoten's hat! "You can't bring the eclipse any faster!" Tuxedo Mask challenges. Uchoten laughs, "But you can't stop it either!" She takes off her hat, only to reveals star-shaped holes on her forehead! Shooting off more stars now, Mask ducks for cover. "What are we going to do?"...meanwhile, Hotaru, now in true pain, grabs her chest, her eyes growing wide...and a soft purple glow forming around her... Hotaru rises by an unsees power, the purple light embracing her...and a planetary sign for Saturn appears on her forehead! "It can't be..." "Hotaru's a Sailor Soldier?" Moon manages to say. Hotaru, glowing and her eyes in a haze, shoots a strange purple light at the daimon. "I...I can't move!" Tuxedo Mask calls on Moon to help Hotaru. "Right! Moon Crisis POWER! RAINBOW MOON HEART ACHE!" The daimon is destroyed... "Uranus World SHAKING!" The girls look on to Uranus. "Neptune Deep SUBMERGE!" "Pluto DEADLY SCREAM!" Moon realizes first - "DON'T!" But the three attacks, thrown off at once, combine into a huge, powerful blast..aimed right at HOTARU! "HOTARU, NO!!!!" Rini cries, but the glowing Hotaru only has an evil glint in her eye. "HOTARU..." Rini jumps in front of her! "No, RINI!" Moon grabs them both as the attack hits the other side of the planetarium, just *and i mean JUST* missing the three girls. Hotaru has collapsed, the glow disappears. "What are you doing? She'll become the soldier of destruction, Sailor Saturn, from the star of desturction, Saturn!" Pluto adds, "Saturn, the Sovereign, can't be allowed to resurrect.", and Neptune cries, "Once she is allowed to awaken, the planet will be destroyed!" "NO!" Moon cries out. "She's just a normal girl!" Mars shouts, "Even if she is Saturn, she can't help it, and so we should protect her!" Rini says, perhaps enraged, "You can't kill her! There MUST be another way!" Neptune smiles. "If there were another way, we'd use it..." suddenly, in a purple flash, Hotaru disappears from Rini's arms...right into her bed at home. Kaori Night glowers over her. "I shouldn't have worried. I knew you'd come home alright."...by the strange galaxy container, Tomoe says to himself, "So Hotaru will become Sailor Saturn...there's no better choice for the Sovereign of Silence!" His eerie laughter fills the room...we look out onto a strange green galaxy, an ominous feeling filling the air... Many revelations today! Thomas Harris was saved, but Hotaru is not only the Sovereign of Silence, but Sailor Saturn as well! And the Outers are out to kill her off! Is Hotaru truly evil...?
