episode 105: show stoppers We travel through the pipes of the lab. A stiff wind blows. Many floating orbs light up, illuminating stuffed animals of all sizes. A girl, with black hair, a purple dress, and a black star mark sits, panting. "How are we today, Sovereign of Silence?" asks Tomoe. The Sovereign says, "Bad, like my head's full of pea soup. I need some pure heart crystal therapy." Tomoe smiles. "We are going to find some pure hearts for you, and then you'll be just fine." "Good."... in a classroom of sorts, Tomoe teaches Mimete and the other Witches. "See how this decoy goes to capture it's fish? This is the Cormorant strategy. Instead of fish, our daimon will catch pure hearts. Give a little squeeze," he says, squeezing the bird's neck, "and it comes right out!" But Mimete just looks at pitures of a movie star. "MIMETE! ARE YOU PAYING ATTENTION?" Tomoe throws the bird at her! "Uh, yes!" "Then what can pure hearts be used for?" Mimete tries to cover herself. "Well, I found the next pure heart target!" "Are you sure?" "Yes. I'll get him!"...in the lab, Tomoe puts an old pistol in the machine (which now has a bird symbol on it). Mist forms above it in the shape of a bird. The daimon, now in a big suitcase, goes on a conveyor belt. Mimete picks up the suitcase...and comes out in a furniture shop! She thinks to herself, "I'll get that pure heart...and getting someone babe-a-licious won't hurt either!"... Raye's. All the girls (but Rini) sit with Trista, who explains their situation. "If a good person touches the Chalice, evil will be banned from this world. But if someone evil touches it, everything will be devastated." Raye is shocked - that is her vision! Trista gets up. "I have to go. I'm working with Neptune and Uranus." Despite Serena's objections, Trista gets up to leave..."We've heard all that stuff before," Serena complains. Lita says, "But the 'Sovereign of Silence' scares me the worst."...Rini comes in. "Trista LEFT? I wanted to go to the park with her!" "We don't have time," Serena scolds. "What park?" "The Nature Park," says Rini. Mina suddenly exclaims, "I'LL GO! Come on!" Amy looks over to her. "That's your 'I'm hiding something' voice. What is it?" Mina is sheepish. "Well...fine. They're shooting a movie there with Joshua Eda!" "JOSHUA EDA? He's a BABE! I'm there!" Serena exclaims. Lita goes on, "I love his work!" Raye says, "I'm always there for boy-watching!" Serena runs over to Amy, "We need your approval." "Do you promise to search for the pure hearts later?" "YES!" Amy says sheepishly, "The biggest hunk in the world..." Luna and Artemis sigh as the six girls are off to meet their dream guy! At the park, in a yellow trenchcoat and red scarf, Mimete scopes out her target, Joshua, on the set of the movie. "Ah, I love him! Too bad I have to get his pure heart...I HAVE to give him these homebaked pastries before I get him." She runs out, screaming his name - but three VERY devoted female fans stand in her way! "You can't SEE him now." "He's VERY busy. And he wouldn't see you anyway." "By the way, that outfit is SO last season, why would he talk to you? And he HATES sweets," says one, stepping all over Mimete's pastries! Mimete begins to cry...when THE Joshua, and his female co-star, walk over to her! "Are you OK? My so-called fans can be cruel sometimes." He looks down at the pastries. "I love sweets!" Joshua licks the frosting of the destroyed cake. "Delicious!...nice meeting you!" he runs off. His co-star yells, "Stay for the shooting, if you like!" Mimete looks up, grateful, with tears in her eyes. A still shot - "He's so nice, sich a gentleman! But I have to get his pure heart!"... "'Oh, Joe. You have to leave, just go!'" says the female co-star on the set. "'No, I could never leave you,'" he acts. "'I love you!'" The two kiss, and the audience sighs...which includes the girls and Mimete. Rini tries to see above Serena's head - but her straw hat falls off! "WAIT! THAT'S THE HAT I JUST GOT! DON'T FLY AWAY!" We see a girl with black hair and a black outfit sitting on the bench. (She just HAPPENS to be the sick girl from the last episode.) Hearing Rini's cry, panting, she runs, and traps the hat with her hands! She pants again as Rini runs over to her. "Thank you SO MUCH!" The girl begins to shake. "What's wrong?" "It's my sickness...nothing, really..." The 'sickness' stops. "Thanks for staying with me," says the high-voiced girl. Rini smiles. "You want to play with me? I'm Rini, rhymes with 'teeny'!" she laughs, extending a hand. The girl takes that hand and smiles. "I'm Hotaru." A still shot - both girls smile like they never have in their lives. A break in the shooting. Joshua and his co-star hide in the trees, mimete watching. "I love being with you here," sighs the girl. Joshua gives her a kiss - to mimete's despair - and whispers, "Anytime I'm with you, I'm happy." Mimete, in despair, throws off her trenchcoat and glasses, revealing a revealing! orange and black dress! "come out, Western!" A pancho-covered daimon comes out. "Howdy!" The daimon starts chasing after Joshua with a pistol on a spring-loaded horse!..."this is way better than studying," Serena comments, as the girls are picnicing. They look up and see Joshua running. "It's over already?" Then they see the daimon! "Picnic's over," Mina commands... The daimon chases them! Rini and Hotaru hide in the bushes. "I need to help them," thinks Rini, "but I can't turn into Mini Moon here!"...meanwhile, the Sailor Team has arrived, giving a group speech this time. "MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!" The daimon seems dead for sure!... but it just shoots through the hearts with her pistol! "It's stronger than before," shouts an angry Mercury. "Here's how it's done," Mimete says. Western chases Joshua's co-star and rings a horseshoe around her neck, then grabs Joshua! "Get a little kiss, baby..." She sucks in the air around him, and his pure heart comes out - she swallows it down! The Scouts are disgusted! "We got what we came for, let's go!" "URANUS WORLD SHAKING!" "NEPTUNE DEEP SUMBERGE!" The two blasts hit the daimon on either side! Ht pure heart comes out, but she swallows it back up... Mimete notices Rini and Hotaru in the bushes. "Get her, the one with pink hair!" Hotaru unable to stop her, Western lassos Rini in! "If ANY of you move, miss Cotton Candy's gonna get it!" But suddenly, a purple blast of energy - "Pluto Deadly Scream!" The lasso was destroyed - and Sailor Pluto has arrived! She calls out to Moon, "Go to the second level of transformation!" Moon holds up the Purity Chalice... "MOON CRISIS POWER!" The butterflies of light surround her, and she comes out of it with the new outfit with transparencies - Super Sailor Moon! She holds up her upgraded scepter... Posing in front of the Purity Chalice, she does a fancy spin. "RAINBOW MOON HEART ACHE!" A stream of hearts, much more powerful than before, come out at the daimon! A rainbow paralyzes her, and she is destroyed! Mimete runs away, fleeing her fate...but Moon, weakened by her new power, turns back into Sailor Moon... in the bushes, Hotaru is upset. "I should've jumped in front of the lasso!" She notcies a stratch on Rini's knee. "And you're hurt!" "It's nothing, really," Rini explains, but Hotaru holds the knee gingerly. "Let me fix it." Suddenly, the glow of a soft purple light comes from Hotaru's fingertips...and the wound is healed! Hotaru looks away, ashamed. "Most people hate me because I'm different." Rini looks at her, grinning. "I think it's incredible!" "Really?" the girl says awestruck, about to cry...and she gets another attack! Rini holds on to her new friend... meanwhile, Moon returns the pure heart to Joshua. Neptune and Uranus get up to go. "Wait! Why can't you join us, make a team?" she asks. Uranus says, "This is our duty." "Besides, you're way out of our league," Neptune adds. "What's THAT supposed to mean?" asks Mars snidely. The two walk away, Pluto following... that night, Rini walks Hotaru back to her house. The house is a mansion, huge and beautiful, historic-looking. "That's my daddy! Hi, daddy!" Hotaru calls. Her daddy has white hair, is thin, and has glasses, one piece covered by an outline of a five-pointed star. "Hello, Hotaru! Who's this?" "This is my new friend, Rini!" "Nice to meet you," the man says sweetly, "come back anytime!" Rini runs off, remembering her own father...inside, hotaru's dad puts her to sleep. He opens a door to go to the basement...puts on a lab coat...and enters Dr. Tomoe's lab! The man laughs manically... so Rini has a new friend, the mysterious Hotaru! But her father is Dr. Tomoe! And what is that power of hers, anyway...?
