episode 101: everything's coming up rosey The sun shines outside. "Ah, I'm here, studying with Darien in his great airconditioner..." Serena sighs. "You don't mind if I nap with romance, do you?" Mina screams in her ear, "WAKE UP SERENA! We're NOT HERE TO SLEEP!" "Or to have romance..." Raye sighs. All the girls are at Darien's apartment, studying for the entrance exams. "You're just here for the airconditioning, right?" jokes Darien. Raye jumps in, "No! we like the herbal tea, too." She sighs to herself as Darien laughs. "Find any good books, Amy?" he asks. Amy looks up. "Yes, they're all so diverse! An ancient Babylonain dictionary, 'Microbiology for Macro Minds', 'Become a Great Chef!' But all the diversity suggests confusion." Darien laughs, "Well, I'm in to all different subjects! Eveything is interesting to me." Lita says, "It's like they say, 'Jerk of all trades'!" "Uh, that's 'Jack of all trades'," he replies. Darien gets on-topic. "We'll study English Lit. first, then go to French." "I hate French!" cries Serena. "That's why we need to study it," Darien replies... when the doorbell rings. Serena goes to answer it - and an odd man stands there! He wears a blue suit, with a top hat and cane, and is gray haired with blue eyes..."Uhh, we don't need a newspaper subscription, thanks..." "Bonjour, madamoiselle." Serena is shocked! "Uhh...I don't speak French...je suis no Frenchie..." The man laughs. "Oh, you don't speak French? Fine, is Darien here?" Serena sighs, relieved. Darien walks in, "Bonjour, Edward!" The girls walk in. They all give French entrances, but Lita says, "Merci!" "That's not a greeting, that's 'thank you'!" whispers Raye. "At least I was polite!"...Edwards goes on, "My college is having a party, and I'd be honored to have you as my guest, Darien. And you lovely ladies as well." They squeal in delight! The man walks out... "That's Edwards, an old friend. He holds parties for international students! He likes to mix up students from different countries...He owns the Rose Mansion." Raye sighs, "A party in that beautiful building?" Amy adds, "And it's a great chance to meet people from different cultures!" Serena wonders, "What country are they from?" "France." *sweat drop* "A romantic evening with Darien!" Serena says with a smile. "But in French," she frowns. "Don't worry, we'll study!" Darien encourages. "A romantic evening with Darien! But in French. A romantic even with Darien! But in French. A romantic evening with Darien!..." Doctor Tomoe, smiling (as usual), speaks to Eudial. "I love the waltz. It's triple-time symbolizes intellect...and agression." He picks up a record. "This is called 'Hope for the Future', written by myself. I want a target with a heart for the waltz and hope for the future." A picture of Edward comes up on the screen. The professor laughs and sticks the record on a phonograph - but the song is violent and harsh!!! "This isn't a waltz! I have a bad feeling about this..." Eudial hangs up. The phonograph goes into the container, and with the daimon, Eudial drives off... The girls, all in dresses (Serena in a pretty pink one!) and Darien (in a tux) stand at the threshold of the party! "Look at all the hot guys!" shouts Mina. "Look, they're all tall!" cries the excited Lita. "But it's French..." Serena trails off. Raye assures her, "French is the language of love!" "But it doesn't help if you can't SPEAK IT!" Two young men come over to them. "Bonjour, Darien." "Bonjour!" Serena thinks to herself, "PLEASE DON'T SPEAK FRENCH! PLEASE DON'T SPEAK FRENCH!" In English(!!), the other says, "It's nice to meet you ladies." "You speak English?" asks Raye increduously. "Hey, Serena, good luck for you -" But Serena is gone! "Where could she be?"... Serena sighs as she watches her friends talk. She is hiding in the corner! "Oh, they can ALL speak French?" she says, not knowing what is going on! "I guess this juice will calm me down..." she downs the juice, hopeful... Edwards talks to Amy. "This is so exciting! All different cultures...it's a wonder!" Amy says happily. "Yes," starts Edward, "this is truly a great event. I try to bring together different people in order to spread my dream of a peaceful, rosy future!" The others (besides Serena) look on. "It's easy for Amy to talk to him since she's a genius," sighs Raye. "Hey, that's SERENA!" mina spots her... Serena's cheeks are red and she smiles. "Well, here's the relativity pudding..." she makes stirring motions. "You take eggs, milk, sugar and mix it up...don't forget to stir! There!" One of the men takes her hand. "You have an interesting mind," he laughs. "YOU SPEAK ENGLISH! STRIKE UP THE BAND!" Serena says, sounding drunk! Darien and Amy come over, almost scared. Amy realizes, "She had too much juice!" "Umm...can you take her to get some fresh air?" "Sure," and Darien and the girls take Serena to the balcony..."How much did you DRINK?" shouts Raye. "Not that much...it was! I'm sorry..." she makes a drinking motion...and almost passes out! "SERENA!!"... they all walk back in. "I'm better," Serena says, sighing. On the stage, Edwards speaks. "And now, two very special guests. Madamoiselle Michelle Kaiou and Madamoiselle Amara Ten'ou." Amara (in a tux, on piano) and Michelle (in a dress, on violin), begin to play a happy, sweet tune...after, the two come over to the girls. Michelle asks sweetly, "Darien, would you dance with me?" "NO! He's mine!" shouts Serena. Amara says with a smile and glitter around her, "Then dance with me, I can teach you!" Serena smiles, "I could use a lesson!" *sweat drop* ...on the dance floor, the girls are amazed! "Serena can...DANCE?" "No, it's from Amara's teaching!" explains Lita. "I want to dance with her next!" All the girls cry. Mina says, "let's decide...with rock, scissors, paper!" Amy shies away and the girls start. "ROCK, SCISSORS, PAPER!"...meanwhile, Michelle dances with Darien. "Edward made a big fortune in the computer business, but he thought money was everything. He wants to make up for it, with these parties, to share his wish of a rosy future. He made many sacrifices." Michelle - "But sacrifice is worth it, if you fulfill your wishes." Darien smiles, "If there's no one there when you're done, it's worthless. Sacrifice is worthless if you're alone." Michelle seems displeased at that. Meanwhile, Eudial enters the Rose Mansion. "Showtime!"... A HUGE mob of people surround Amara and Serena, asking for dances! Serena bursts out, only to hear a slow song play (actually a version of the Japanese SM ending, "Tuxedo Mirage"). "Where's Darien?" All the girls see Darien dancing with another girl, and Amara dancing with Michelle! "We missed our chance!" Edwards comes over to them. "While you're waiting, I'll show you the best part of the house!"...they are out on a terrace, where a beautiful rose garden blooms! Edward smiles. "My dream is to pass on a vision of a peaceful rosy future to young people like yourselves." Lita looks at the roses. "So beautiful...Edward must have a gentle heart." Edward turns back, "let's come inside for some pastries!" "I LOVE pasteries!" shouts Serena, and Raye admonishes her... Darien gets a drink of some sort when he notices a blue mist coming through the kitchen door! It comes through - and everyone is knocked out! Darien puts a handkerchief over his face when Edward comes in. "Young lady, please, you must get out of here!" The young lady, of course, wears a gas mask - she is Eudial! Taking out her gun, she extracts Edward's pure heart!... Amara and Michelle prep up. "URANUS STAR POWER!" "NEPTUNE STAR POWER!" Sailors Neptune and Uranus have arrived! "NEPTUNE DEEP SUBMERGE!" Eudial misses the blast but the pure heart comes out of her hands in the process! Eudial, upset, says, "Chikuon, come out! Step up!" "uhh...my dress is too heavy!" The daimon is pretty, with a mask and a REALLY heavy blue dress. Eudial sighs...when the Sailor Team arrives! They all give this long speech about famous fairy tales party crashers - "We shall punish you!" "I'm getting a headache," says Eudial, and she takes off!... Chikuon takes off a blue rose from her outfit, and is glows blue - and the explosive flower is thrown at the Scouts! They can't dodge it, and Moon takes the blast!" "Wanna dance?" Chikuon entices Uranus. "Sure, I'll dance with you. WORLD SHAKING!" The blast breaks the daimon's dress, and a mist coveres her...Neptune and Uranus give back Edward's pure heart, as it wasn't one with powers, and leave... but Chikuon is still alive, just without the dress on! She hooks up a phonograph to her shoulder and begins to throw out musical notes, LITERALLY, at the Scouts! "What are you doing? You won't beat us!" Moon threatens. "Oh, I won't? How's about my favorite song...the Yodel of Devastation!" The daimon puts in a record - "YODEL OF DEVASTATION! YODEL! YODELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL" The girls writhe in pain! "What is this?" The daimon smiles, "This sound will stir up your human brains until you DIE!" When suddenly, a rose breaks the record!..."Thank you, Tuxedo Mask!" Chikuon hurls the phonograph at Mask, who dodges. "No, that was my last weapon!" It's Moon's time - "MOON SPIRAL HEART ATTACK!" The daimon is destroyed! Later, the girls stare in awe at Serena and Darien's romantic dancing. "I want to dance like that..." sighs Lita. "I know, we'll get lessons from Amara! Where is she?" says Mina. "But who gets her first?" asks Raye. "ROCK! SCISSORS! PAPER!"...outside in a tree, Neptune and Uranus smile. "A rosy bright future...the idea of passing a dream on to the next generation is something I never even thought of!" says Neptune happily. More seriously, Uranus adds, "But they may never enjoy that dream. The dreadful Silence may be coming." The two look up towards the stars... so Edward was saved (and Serena learned a little French!)! But the search for the pure hearts is coming to a climax...who has them?...
