A kingdom so ravaged by jealousy of the Moon Kingdom that it's revenge would destroy the lives of millions in the Silver Millennium, the Negaverse seems to have no respect for the people they killed. Apparently, their only goal is to conquer, to be rid of the Moon Kingdom, Queen Serenity, and the Silver Crystal at all costs. Lead by Queen Beryl, in the chronicles, they trail a young forlorn princess Onyx when she was a girl.

What did Beryl see in the child? Well, at the time, Onyx did have that dark power within her, presumably because she was the second child and had must angst within her. Beryl, upon seeing this, realized that she could manipulate this lost girl into working for her. And so, by calling her Black Daughter, Onyx recieved a leader, and a mother figure. How sad that Beryl was simply manipulating her, but how fortunate that she could be reborn in the end, in a world where Beryl was dead.

Beryl is a tough, unlikeable leader, who can be simply cruel to her subjects. If she doesn't get the results she wants, the subject could be exiled, like Onyx was, or even killed, like Jedite. Her subjects, therefore, are very loyal, because they have to be. Jedite, Nephlite, and Zoicite are all her generals, who are fiercely devoted to her. Evil Prince Darien is brainwashed, becoming too a part of the Negaverse, but he is thankfully healed by his love, Sailor Moon.
